Hair Spray Stains

Q: How can I remove stains caused by the use of hair spray?

A: First start on the dry side, apply volatile dry solvent (VDS), and tamp. Then dry the area. This may be all that is needed. If the stain remains apply VDS. and oily type paint remove and tamp, flush with VDS., and dry. If the stain still remains go to the wet side, flush the area with steam, apply neutral synthetic detergent (NSD), tamp, flush with steam, and dry. If the stain is still there flush with steam, apply NSD. and ammonia or your protein formula, tamp, flush with steam, and dry.
